Winter Solstice Quotes: Holiday Gifts of Light, Love, and Transformation

Winter Solstice: Holiday Gifts of Light, Love and Transformation.

The Magic Of Winter Solstice

Many cultures have celebrations of light at Winter Solstice. In addition to the lights of Christmas, there is Hanukkah with its brightly colored menorahs and the lighting of Kwanzaa candles. In Pagan tradition, the holiday called Yule, takes place on the solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, around December 21st. As a celebration of the returning light and warmth of the sun, the most important part of any Yule observance is the lighting of candles and bonfires.
